Project Description

The construction of the existing Terminal Building started in 1989. Due to financial constraints, the construction was stopped. In 1994, the construction work restarted but was again stopped due to financial constraints and some dispute with the contractor. After the construction of this structure in 1989, the Civil Aviation Authorities conducted various studies to determine the structural integrity of the building. Based on these studies, some  remedial measures have also been carried out.

Now the client intends to rehabilitate or re-construct the existing Terminal Building to its full capacity. This  terminal building after completion will be fully dedicated to international flights. As part of the project, the  project consultant, Engineering Consultant International Limited (ECIL) was asked to carry out a detailed diagnostic survey/structural assessment of the existing structure and give recommendations in light of the findings.
