Project Description

The Government of Balochistan launched the project in the underdeveloped areas of the province. Sibi Rakhni - D.G Khan Road (468 Km) connected the important tribal towns of Rakhni, Barkhan, Kohlu and Kahan with Sibi, situated on Sukkur - Quetta - Chaman Highway, which in turn connects with the province of Punjab.

 

Services

ECIL prepared engineering, economic feasibility and detailed design for this project. Following services rendered:

  • Topographical survey and fixation of route alignment. The alignment of the road traversed through rugged mountainous terrain for about 150 km crossing several streams.

  • Traffic Study/Forecast, Collection/Compilation of data on Economic Base Structure.

  • Derivation of benefit cost ratio (B/C), internal rate of return (IRR), net present value (NPV) to demonstrate the Economic and Technical Feasibility.

  • Developed design criteria, i.e. 6. 100 m black top, width, 1.83 m shoulders, max. speed 80 km/hrs.

  • Prepared Preliminary Design /Drawings/Report.

  • Prepared Final Design /Drawings/Report.

  • Prepared Specifications, B.O.Q and Tender Documents.

  • Designed Bridge Structures and Planned Road Side Facilities.

  • Prepared PC-I Performa.

  • Construction Supervision.
