Project Description

The Agha Khan Development Network (AKDN) initiated a program to construct the campuses of  University of Central Asia to contribute towards human resource development in this region with prime focus on Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The three selected campus sites were located at Tekeli, Kazakhstan; the Naryn, Kyrgyzstan near the Naryn River; and Khorog, Tajikistan on the right bank of Gunt River. ECIL carried out a detailed topographic survey of each campus site as per AKDN requirements within a limited time frame under snowy weather conditions.

An extensive survey was carried out for trees and utilities. The raw field data were processed, subsequent to which surface modelling was done and contours were developed at 0.5 m interval. The key plan along with contour plans were prepared and submitted to AKDN for planning activities.
