Project Description

The main objective of this project was to provide water supply schemes & rudimentary sanitation to a rural population of presently some 60,000 inhabitants, grouped in 31 clusters made up of 115 villages of Kachhi, Turbat & Lasbela districts.

 

Services

The EC has provided the following services:

  • Data Collection

  • Topographic, Hydrological & Demographic Surveys

  • Identification of Water Resources

  • Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage Systems Studies & Conceptual Reports

  • Detail Design and Tender Documents

  • Training of Staff & Nominated Beneficiaries (Institutional Development)

  • Arranged procurement of mechanical components

  • Drill additional wells

  • Supervise construction of schemes

  • Prepare simple O&M manuals

  • On the job training of the staff and nominated personnel from the beneficiaries

  • Prepare training courses and other materials, including arrangement for study tours

  • Upon completion hand over the schemes to the beneficiaries
