Project Description

The main features of the project are:

1. 250,000 M2 Project covered area, including 16 Hectare of reclaimed areas

2. 727 meters of Quay wall of the Terminal including 112M of the extension of the existing Terminal

3. The new Terminal provides berthing of two 75000T vessels

4. The Terminal will handle 400 TEUs during operation of Phase-1 and will handle 1125 TEUs on completion of all the three phases

5. After Deepening & widening of the navigation channel by PQA, the Terminal will handle ships with 14m draft

As PQA Consultant, the job comprised review of Contractors Technical & Financial Proposal, Preparation of Implementation Agreement. Top Supervision and Quality audit till testing and commissioning. The project mainly comprised:

• Sand filling and consolidation by wick drains in the project area

• Dredging and reclamation work

• Construction of Quay Wall and RTG tracks

• Steel Piling and cathodic protection

• Fabrication of Precast elements

• R.C.C. Work including cope beam and miscellaneous elements

• Pavement work
