Project Description

Madinat Zayed lies east of Liwa, the better known oasis where the ancestors of most of Madinat Zayed's residents once lived, now a holiday destination famed for its natural greenery and water. In order to implement the development plan in Madinat Zayed, it is the intention of Western Region Municipalities (WRM) to refurbish two existing commercial buildings which are situated at the North-East Corner of Madinat Zayed Main Road and the Baynouna road. These are two storey buildings with a covered corridor in front and on the right side of the building. Ground floor comprises mainly of shops and there are residential units at first floor level. WRM initiated a feasibility study for the refurbishment and/or abandonment of the ageing buildings (by constructing the new buildings, including complete MEP works and services) which are showing signs of deterioration.
